Newstaff Employment is hiring Refuse Loaders to join our client’s team based in Hemel Hempstead. In this role, you will assist with the collection of household and commercial waste, working as part of a dedicated crew to provide an efficient and reliable refuse collection service. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a long-term career.
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £26,436 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities
- Collect household and commercial waste safely and efficiently
- Load refuse and recycling materials onto collection vehicles
- Work closely with the driver and collection crew to complete daily routes
- Provide a professional and courteous service to members of the public
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Keep work areas and vehicles clean and tidy
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Support colleagues with general operational duties when required
Essential Skills & Experience
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling duties
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Previous experience in refuse collection, waste management, or a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided
