Receptionist in St Albans
Newstaff Recruitment Agency in St Albans is recruiting for a Receptionist for our client, based in Hertfordshire.
Location: St Albans
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum + Benefits
Hours: 32 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Open and scan incoming mail and handle all outgoing mail, including franking.
- Manage Continual Professional Development (CPD) tasks.
- Answer all incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
- Welcome and professionally assist visitors.
- Input and maintain archive data.
- Book client records in and out of the building, ensuring secure procedures are followed.
- Record client documents and ensure their safekeeping.
- Keep meeting rooms tidy and with necessary supplies (e.g., pads, pens).
- Arrange refreshments for client meetings.
- General reception duties, such as booking couriers and ordering sandwiches.
- Open and lock the front doors daily.
- Assist other departments with general administration tasks as required.
Experience and Skills Required
- 1-2 years experience in a Receptionist or Telephonist role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
- Desirable: Experience with a switchboard system.
- Excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, and a professional demeanour.
- Flexible, reliable, and highly organised.
