Agricultural Service Engineer in Milton Keynes
Newstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for an Agricultural Service Engineer on behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes.
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and overtime worked.
Location: Milton Keynes
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, service, and repair a variety of machinery within the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction industries.
- Conduct on-site testing of machinery, ensuring operational excellence.
- Interact with customers to build and maintain positive relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Accurately diagnose and resolve machinery faults, keeping detailed service records.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of machinery, preferably within the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction sectors.
- Relevant qualification in Land-Based Engineering or a similar field (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to operate machinery for testing purposes.

Working Hours
- Standard Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (39-hour basic working week).
Overtime: Available at enhanced rates:
- Monday to Saturday: Time and a half.
- Sunday: Double time.
- Bank Holiday Monday: Double time plus a day in lieu.
- Weekend work may be required, especially during the peak harvest season.
- You will be required to do some weekend working especially during our peak harvest season
